Emerging the client applications

# layman -a n4g
# emerge -uND novell-client
# emerge -uND novell-konqueror-plugin
# emerge -uND novell-nautilus-plugin

Client Configuration

Logout and login into your workstation to get the new paths to appear

Start the required client services

# /opt/novell/ncl/bin/ncl_control start
# /etc/init.d/novell-xregd start 
# /etc/init.d/novfsd start

Set up your system to automatically load the client services

# rc-config add novell-xregd default
# rc-config add novfsd  default

usage

you can log in to novell using:

the command line client

# nwlogin 

or the graphical client

# gnwlogin

For Example:

# nwlogin -t <treename> -s <server-address> -c <context> -u <userid> -p <password> -r
